I am struck by the curious reflection that if everything is inevitable, as our élites tell us, well then we don't really need them. After all, this is the biggest and most expensive élite in history. Either they should do their job or make way.
One of the characteristics of propaganda is that wherever possible, music and images replace words. This is particularly easy on television and in films where words are innately of tertiary importance... For propaganda, language is virtually irrelevant. That is the point of it.
